Programmed are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Sanitation Team Leading Hand to join our client in Epping who specialize in the manufacturing and distribution of Mexican food products.
The successful applicant will be required to work weekend shifts and during the week. In this role you will lead and supervise the sanitation staff overnight cleaning operations, ensuring compliance with high food safety standards. This position is crucial to maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient facility that consistently meet customer and regulatory expectations.
Job Requirements:
- Previous supervisory experience in sanitation or food processing environments.
- Knowledge of HACCP, ISO9000, and other relevant food safety standards.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to lead a team effectively under limited supervision.
- Competence in maintaining sanitation records and conducting performance appraisals.
- Commitment to safety and quality assurance.
- Availability to work Week days and Weekend consistently.
Duties and responsibilities involved/ requirements:
- Supervise sanitation team members and oversee nightly cleaning of plant equipment and facilities.
- Ensure hygiene and food safety standards are upheld in line with regulatory and company requirements.
- Collaborate with management to plan and review sanitation activities.
- Provide daily shift reports and regular updates on equipment, chemical inventory, and staff performance.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance cleaning efficiency.
- Manage staff scheduling and provide coverage during absences.
- Maintain detailed records and ensure proper documentation for audits and compliance.
- Enforce safe handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and tools.
